Florida Panthers Information

The Florida Panthers is a professional ice hockey team that is based in the city of Sunrise, Florida. It was initially founded in the year 1993, and the owner of the team is the Sunrise Sports and Entertainment. Florida Panthers play their home games at BB&T Center , and they are one of the members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The Panthers have their uniform jersey in three shades, mainly red, blue, and flat gold. Their Home jersey represents itself with red color along with slight colors of blue and white while their away jersey is rendered in white color along with slight blue and red. The team has their mascot as the big cat “Stanley C. Panther” who is always involved in pre-game activities with his sidekick Viktor E. Rat.

The Florida Panthers have won a total of 1 Conference Championship (1995-96) and 2 Division Championships (2011-12, 2015-16). They also won the Prince of Wales Trophy (1995-96), Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy (1999-2000, 2000-01), Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, and Calder Memorial Trophy.

Players and Builders of The Panthers who made their way to the Hockey Hall of Fame include six former players and two builders. The players inducted were Ed Belfour, Pavel Bure, Dino Ciccarelli, Igor Larionov, and Joe Nieuwendyk. The builders of sport enlisted were Roger Neilson and Bill Torrey. Dave Strader, a former play-by-play commentator, also received the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award.
