The Milwaukee Bucks, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is an American basketball team. They are a member of the NBA’s Eastern Conference Central Division. The franchise was launched in 1968. The team plays its home games at Fiserv Forum. R.D. Trebilcox of Whitefish Bay suggested the team name “Bucks” on May 22, 1968.

Bucks played their first NBA regular-season game in October 1968 against the Chicago Bulls in front of 8,467. They achieved their first victory in their sixth game when they beat the Detroit Pistons by a score of 134–118.

They have featured such notable players as Brian Winters, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Marques Johnson, Sidney Moncrief, Jon McGlocklin, Oscar Robertson, Vin Baker, Bob Dandridge, Terry Cummings, Bob Lanier, Michael Redd, Junior Bridgeman, Sam Cassell, and Ray Allen. The team’s 26-games from the 2014–15 season was the second-highest in franchise history. They set the highest record of 60–22 during the 1980–81 season.

The Milwaukee Bucks’ uniform color theme is based on five different colors, including Cream City cream, Good Land green, Great Lakes blue, white and black. Since October 18, 1977, Bango has been the official mascot of the Bucks. The team has won 14 Division titles (1971–1974, 1976, 1980-1986, 2001, 2019), two conference titles (1971 and 1974), and one League title (1971). Giannis Antetokounmpo and Abdul-Jabbar have been awarded the NBA's Most Valuable Player.
