New Jersey Devils Information

The New Jersey Devils are a professional American ice hockey team that is based in Newark, New Jersey. The team was formerly known as Kansas City Scouts (1974–1976) and Colorado Rockies (1976–1982). The Devils are part of the Metropolitan Division of NHL’s Eastern Conference. The team used to play at Brendan Byrne Arena, located in the Meadowlands Sports Complex, for their first 25 seasons. They shifted to Prudential Center before the 2007–08 season, which is their current home arena.

The New Jersey Devils was founded in the year 1974 in Kansas City, Missouri, as the Kansas City Scouts. They moved to Denver, Colorado, in the year 1976. Finally, the team moved to East Rutherford, New Jersey, where it was given its current name. The uniform color theme of the Devils includes red, black, and white. The franchise is owned by New Jersey Devils, LLC (Josh Harris, governor).

The Devils has a mascot named "NJ Devil," which is a 7-foot (2.1 m), the tall devil. It keeps the crowd happy and excited and also signs autographs, and knows how to cheer up the audience. The players of the New Jersey Devils who were added as the Hall of Fame honorees are; Peter Stastny, Stastny, Scott Stevens, Igor Larionov, Doug Gilmour, Joe Nieuwendyk, Brendan Shanahan, Scott Niedermayer, Phil Housley, Dave Andreychuk, Martin Brodeur, and many more.
