Brit Floyd is a Pink Floyd tribute band based in Liverpool, United Kingdom. This Pink Floyd tribute band was founded in 2011 by Damian Darlington (singer, guitarist, and musical director). The band usually plays psychedelic rock and progressive rock genres.
The current members included in the Brit Floyd are 14 in total including Damian Darlington (guitar, lap steel, vocals), Gareth Darlington, Bryan Kolupski (media director), Arran Ahmun (drums), Ola Bienkowska, Emily Jollands, Jacquie Williams, Angela Cervantes (backing vocals), Ryan Saranich, and others. Some past members are Rosalee O'Connell (backing vocals) in 2013, Amy Smith (backing vocals) in 2011, Carl Brunsdon (percussion, guitar, bass guitar, and saxophone) in 2015, and Bobby Harrison (guitar, vocals) in 2015.
After being a member of The Australian Pink Floyd Show for almost 17 years, Damian Darlington switched to Brit Floyd. He began following the legendary work by Pink Floyd when he was only thirteen while listening to “The Wall.” He saw Pink Floyd live for the first time during the “A Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour” in 1987. Brit Floyd, according to Damian Darlington, pays attention and presents a better-polished version of the music by Pink Floyd than other tribute bands. The band does not only work on the song’s recreation but on the visuals equally.
Brit Floyd performed a massive 76-date US tour in 2016 featuring an extended career-spanning setlist. This setlist included a 24-minute epic performance, "Echoes" by Pink Floyd, along with an induction of a million-dollar stage design.
