Disturbed Information
Disturbed is an American heavy metal band that is based in Chicago, Illinois. The group was formed in 1994 and comprised of guitarist/keyboardist Dan Donegan, bassist John Moyer, vocalist David Draiman, and drummer Mike Wengren. Some of the formal band members are bassist Steve Kmak and vocalist Erich Awalt. The music style of the Disturbed is described as hard rock, nu-metal, alternative metal, and heavy metal one.
Initially, Disturbed recorded two 3-track demo tapes. The first one had the demos for "Down with the Sickness," "The Game," and "Meaning of Life," while the second one had "Want", "Stupify," and "Droppin' Plates” demos. The Sickness was the debut album by the band, which was released in 2000. This album peaked at number 20 on Billboard 200.
The later albums by Disturbed include Believe (2002), Ten Thousand Fists (2005), Indestructible (2008), Asylum (2010), Immortalized (2015), and Evolution (2018). The Lost Children (November 8, 2011) was a hit compilation album by the band along with Music as a Weapon II (February 24, 2004) and Live at Red Rocks (November 18, 2016) being two Live Albums.
A few of the hit singles by Disturbed are "The Sound of Silence," "Open Your Eyes," "Are You Ready," "A Reason to Fight," "No More," "Hold on to Memories," and a few more. Disturbed nominated 30 times at various big award shows, including; one Billboard Music Award 2006, two Grammy Awards 2009 and 2017, three iHeartRadio Music Awards, one Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award 2008, one Revolver Golden Gods Award 2011, three SiriusXM Octane Music Awards, and a few more.
Disturbed won four Loudwire Music Awards, one Spike Guys' Choice Awards, one Octane’s Year-End Award, and one iHeartRadio Music Award.
