Aubrey Drake Graham (October 24, 1986) is an American singer, songwriter, and rapper. He was born in Toronto, Ontario. He is professionally known by his stage name, Drake. He is considered an influential figure in contemporary popular music. He has also been credited for the popularity of R&B sensibilities in hip-hop. Drake first gained recognition after appearing as Jimmy Brooks in the teen drama series by CTV, Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Drake had already gained enough recognition after releasing his first three albums, i.e., Thank Me Later (2010), Take Care (2011), and Nothing Was the Same (2013). All three albums were a critical success for him. Drake has launched many entrepreneurial ventures. One of them was OVO Sound in 2012, along with his long-time collaborator, 40. He also became a part owner of the Italian soccer club, A.C. Milan, in 2022.
Drake is ranked the highest-certified digital singles artist by the RIAA in the United States. He has sold more than 170 million records so far in his career. He was announced as a featured artist on Gunna's DS4Ever by January 2022. He was also featured on the lead single entitled "We Caa Done" from Popcaan's fifth studio album, Great Is He, released in 2023. Drake also collaborated with British rapper Central Cee on a freestyle track on July 21, 2023. It was for the On the Radar Radio Youtube channel.
