Jason Aldean is another Georgia Native who has dominated country music. Born in Macon, Georgia which is right in the middle of Augusta, Columbus, and Atlanta, Georgia. Macon, Georgia is also famous because of the Allman Brothers Band. Jason Aldean is a country music star with massive hits. Aldean released his self-titled debut album in 2015. The album skyrocketed up the charts across the globe, with numerous records reaching number 1 on Billboard charts.
Aldean's fourth album, "My Kinda Party," was certified as the quadruple-platinum, a massive achievement. For many years, the rockstar sold out venues worldwide. 'Hicktown" reached the top 10 Billboard's country songs chart.
Released on May 19, 2023, "Try That in a Small Town" served as the first taste of Aldean's eleventh studio album. Its music video, released on July 14, has caused controversy due to its setting in front of the Maury County courthouse, where a race riot occurred in 1946 and a Black man was lynched in 1927. CMT stopped playing the music video only four days after it had been released.
Sheryl Crow, Jason Isbell, and Margo Price, among others, voiced their disapproval of the song and video. Despite the backlash, the song was Aldean's biggest chart success to date, opening at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. It hit the top spot the following week, becoming Aldean's first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs list.
