Mt. Joy Information
Mt. Joy is an Indie rock band that started working in the music industry in 2016. The current lineup of Mt. Joy consists of Matt Quinn (guitar and vocals), Sam Cooper (guitar), Jackie Miclau (keys), Sotiris Eliopoulos (drums), and Michael Byrnes (bass). The band is based in Los Angeles and has roots in Philadelphia as well. The group debuted with its single entitled “Astrovan” in 2016. The single was recorded in Los Angeles by Byrnes, Cooper, and Quinn. In 2017, Mt. Joy released a trio of singles, including “Silver Lining,” “Cardinal,” and “Sheep.”
The singles reached the top of Billboard Triple-A Charts. The band released its debut eponymous studio album on March 2, 2018. Within the next two years, Mt. Joy started to perform on tours as a supporting act and in festivals. The group even headlined a European and North American tour. On June 5, 2020, the band released its second studio album, “Rearrange Us.”
Mt. Joy has released several notable singles throughout its career, including Sheep (2017), Cardinal (2017), Jenny Jenkins (2018), and Strangers (2020). The band worked with Dualtone records during their career to release the majority of their projects. The group has performed in many famous festivals such as Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Festival, and Lollapalooza. Mt. Joy also performed at Voodoo Fest, ACL Fest, Shaky Knees Music Festival, and Innings Music Festival in 2018.
