Niall Horan Information
Niall Horan (September 13, 1993) is an Irish songwriter and singer. He got prominent when he became a member of the band “One Direction.” He was born in Mullingar, Ireland. Horan used to try playing the guitar of his brother but was unable to play it at first. By the age of 11, he started spending time learning guitar properly by watching video tutorials on YouTube.
His singing talent was discovered by his aunt one day while she was driving, and he started to sing, she thought for a while that the radio was on. He used to sing on various small occasions at Mullingar Arts Centers.
At the age of sixteen, Horan gave audition for the seventh series of the singing competition show “The X Factor” in 2010, Dublin. He performed the song “So Sick” that received mixed comments from the judges. Horan somehow managed to get through the Bootcamp. He also failed at the Bootcamp, and on the suggestion of Nicole Scherzinger, Horan was placed into the group of four boys who also failed to get through. These boys then formed the band “One Direction.”
Horan released his first studio album “Flicker” on October 20, 2017, under the record label “Capitol.” He has released one live album, “Flicker: Featuring the RTE Concert Orchestra” on December 7, 2018, under the label Virgin EMI. His only extended play “Mirror” came out on April 21, 2018, again under Capitol. Horan has also released a few notable singles throughout his career, including Too Much To Ask, This Town, Slow Hands, Seeing Blind, On The Loose, and Nice To Meet Ya.
Horan has won several awards in his career so far, including BMI London Awards for the category of “Pop Awards Songs” in 2018 for his work “Slow Hands,” American Music Awards for the “New Artist of the Year” in 2017, and a few more. His both singles “On The Loose” and “Too Much to Ask” won the BMI London Awards for the “Pop Awards Songs” category.
