They were the first band to have fused hard-driving Nu metal sound with Shock Rock elements to inflict a Horror-story like the live experience. This multi-award-winning metal band is a fan favorite because of their aggressive music, explicit lyrics, larger than life stage antics and behind the scenes controversies. This band took form in 1995, when after working with different Iowa based metal setups, drummer Joey Jordison, percussionist Shawn ‘clown’ Crahan, and bassist Paul Gray. The group Slipknot was born by recognizing each other as a team and created an alliance unmatched. With Craig Jones, Jim Root, Mick Thomson, Chris Fehn, Sid Wilson, and Corey Taylor joining hands, the 9 -piece band took its ultimate form that headlined gigs all around the world for a decade. Right now, after several member changes, the tragic death of Paul Gray, and the addition of Alessandro Venturella and Jay Weinberg, the band is settled with the new 8-piece setup. With six highly successful studio albums and countless sold-out gigs, Slipknot is a must-see Live Experience rather than a group.
