The 2022–23 Bruins season was historic for the franchise and the entire NHL. First, from October 15 through December 3, they went on a 14-game winning streak at home, a new NHL record. The Bruins reached 100 points in the standings on March 2, 2023, in their 61st game of the season, breaking the record previously held by the 1976–77 Stanley Cup Champion Montreal Canadiens.
The Bruins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers on April 9, 2023, to set a new record for most wins in a season (63). The Bruins won 65 games and 135 points overall after breaking the single-season points record two days later in a victory over the Washington Capitals.
