The team won Stanley Cup Championship in 2003-04. They play their home games at Amalie Arena , located in Tampa. The team is also known as Bolts. Tampa Bay Sports & Entertainment own the Franchise. Tampa Bay Lightning played its first regular-season game at 11,000-seat Expo Hall on October 7, 1992. Manon Rheaume becomes the first woman to play in any of the major North American sport leagues when she played goalie for the first year franchise Tampa Bay Lightning in a preseason game against the St. Louis Blues .The team qualified for the playoffs in their fourth season, 1995-96, posting a record of 38-32-12 with 88 points.
Founded in 1992, the team has won twice the Southeast Division (2002-03 and 2003-04) and the Stanley Cup-championship once. Brad Richards won the Conn Smythe Trophy for the most valuable player of the playoffs. The Lightning has a uniform color theme of blue and white.
