Western and Southern Open Tennis Information
Western and Southern Open is an International Tennis event. More than 100 International Tennis Hall of Famers have participated in the Western and Southern Open having first occurred in 1899, it is known as one of the nation’s oldest professional tennis tournaments played in the original city. Top players from all over the world participate in the tournament.
In 2019, the Western and Southern Open champions were Daniil Medvedev in men’s singles and Madison Keys in women’s singles. In doubles, Filip Polasek and Ivan Dodig won the title for men, and Andreja Klepac and Lucie Hradecka won women’s title.
The tournament takes place at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Cincinnati. It is known as one of the largest tennis venues in the United States, with a seating capacity of 22,435.
