Adam Richard Sandler (September 9, 1966) is an American comedian, actor, film producer, screenwriter, and musician. He is from New York City, New York. Adam attended Manchester Central High School and graduated from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts (1988).
Adam began his career in 1987 as Smitty, a friend of Theo Huxtable, in The Cosby Show. He gained popularity as a cast member of Saturday Night Live and played in several hit films in Hollywood that have grossed over $2 billion at the box office (combine). Some of his famous roles include Billy Madison, The Wedding Singer, The Longest Yard, Murder Mystery, Mr. Deeds, Grown Ups 2, and a few more. He also served as a voice-over artist in the Hotel Transylvania franchise (2012-present).
Sandler also ventured into the category of dramas with the following roles; Punch-Drunk Love, Reign Over Me, Funny People, Spanglish, The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected), Uncut Gems, and a few more. Happy Madison Productions is a film production company by Sandler. Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo was the first film produced by this company. Some of the other films by Sandler have usually received negative critics with a few being declared as the worst films ever.
