Arkansas Razorbacks at Mississippi State Bulldogs Mens Basketball Humphrey Coliseum Starkville

Humphrey Coliseum is a multi-purpose arena that is located on the Mississippi State University’s campus. The arena has a seating capacity of 10,575 and was opened on December 1, 1975, for basketball season. Brewer Godbold and Associates, Ltd designed the architect of the arena.

The outside of the Humphrey Coliseum is marked by regular concrete columns and Mississippi red brick siding. The scoreboard was provided by the Henry Mize Foundation in 2004, featuring four sides, and each side is equipped with a video screen. In 2015, the scoreboard was replaced by a similar, though updated, version.

A new court design was installed in 2017, featuring many details highlighting the school’s local ties. The arena’s playing area is surrounded by lettering that shows the list of all 82 counties in the state. The arena hosts graduation ceremonies, concerts, and other kinds of events aside from basketball. The name of the Humphrey Coliseum was kept to honor the president of Mississippi State from 1934 to 1945.
