Beetlejuice - The Musical
The Hippodrome Theatre is located at 12 N. Eutaw Street, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. It was built and opened on 23rd November 1914 (being the largest theater of south of Philadelphia) with a seating capacity of 2,300 people at a time. It is under the ownership of Maryland Stadium Authority while operated by Key Brand Entertainment. It was the foremost vaudeville house and movie theater in Baltimore. This theater is designed by one of the leading theater architects, Thomas W. Lamb. He used brick and terra cotta on a massive façade to make the presence of the theater strong on Eutaw Street.
The Hippodrome underwent renovations in 2004 and became a part of the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center. In 1920, the average weekly attendance recorded in the theater was 30,000. The current renovation combined three buildings making a complex which includes the Western National Bank Building (1887), the Eutaw Savings Bank Building (1888) and the Hippodrome Theater. This complex was designed by Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates.
Some notable performances hosted by this venue were performed by Bob Hope, Dinah Shore, The Three Stooges, Andrews Sisters, etc. Harry James and Frank Sinatra performed together first at this place.
The Hippodrome’s Box Office is open from Monday to Friday for tickets selling or even through intermission of the performance days. You can also get tickets from our website tickestonsale.com at a low price.
