SoFi Stadium is an under-construction multipurpose complex and entertainment hub located at the former site of Hollywood Park Racetrack, Inglewood, California. This future grand facility has a seating capacity of approximately 70,240 people, which can be extended up to 100,240. The construction of SoFi Stadium began on November 17, 2016, and is expected to get opened for the general public on July 25, 2020. The overall construction cost is estimated to be $4.963 billion. Currently, it is owned and managed by Kroenke Sports and Entertainment Hollywood Park Land Company, LLC, and the City of Inglewood. The exciting job to design its architecture is handed over to HKS Incorporation.
SoFi Stadium will serve as a home field to the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers of the NFL. The stadium will be the fourth one in Los Angeles to be the home for multiple teams from the same league. It is expected to host football matches, wrestling matches, concerts, mega sports events, honor ceremonies, NFL film premiers, and many other entertainment events.
Taylor Swift hosts “Lover Fest West” on the opening day of SoFi Stadium. The stadium is expected to host FIFA World Cup 2026, Postseason Bowl Games between Pac-12 Conference and Mountain West Conference, Wrestlemania, Summer Olympics 2028, College Football Playoffs National Championship 2023, and Super Bowl LVI 2022.
