JetBlue Park is a baseball venue located in Fort Myers, Florida. It is a part of the Fenway South training and development facility. JetBlue Park opened for the public on March 3, 2012. The Park is primarily the spring training home of the Boston Red Sox. The naming rights were purchased by JetBlue, which is an airline with major operations at Logan International Airport since 2004. The architecture of the Park was designed by Populous. Currently, JetBlue Park has a seating capacity of 10,823.
On the inaugural day of JetBlue Park, the first game was played against Northeastern University. On March 4, 2012, the first Grapefruit League game was played at the venue. The venue has served as the home field to Red Sox spring training games and the GCL Red Sox in the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League (GCL).
JetBlue Park has been one of the favorite host venues for the annual Roy Hobbs World Series. It also serves as the best venue for local conferences, circuses, festivals, and other variety of events. The Park has also been a host site for the final round games of the Florida High School Athletic Association’s statewide high school baseball championship tournament.
