Charlotte Knights at Nashville Sounds
First Horizon Park is a baseball park located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, also known as First Tennessee Park. The venue is owned by the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and operated by Nashville Sounds Baseball Club. The baseball park has a seating capacity of 8,500 and 10,000 depending. The site broke ground on January 27, 2014, and it was opened for the public on April 17, 2015, with a construction cost of $91 million. The architecture of the building is done by Hastings Architecture Associates, LLC, and Populous.
First Horizon Park is the home field of the Triple-A Nashville Sounds of the Pacific Coast League (PCL). It replaced the Sounds' former home, Herschel Greer Stadium. The venue was built on the former Sulphur Dell site, a minor league ballpark. The most distinctive feature of the park may be its guitar-shaped scoreboard. It is primarily a venue for the Nashville Sounds, collegiate, and high school baseball teams, including the Vanderbilt Commodores and Belmont Bruins. The park is also home to the City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game.
From 2015 to 2018, First Horizon Park hosted the annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game. This event was played during Nashville's CMA Music Festival. The park also served as a host to a few Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities youth games. The Nashville Brew Festival became the first non-sporting event held at the facility on October 3, 2015.
