The Radio City Music Hall is an entertainment venue located at 1260 Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue), Manhattan, New York City, United States. The venue was opened on December 27, 1932. The venue has a seating capacity of 5,960 people at a time. The music hall is owned by Tishman Speyer Properties and operated by the Madison Square Garden Company. The architect of the venue was designed by Edward Durell Stone and Donald Deskey. It was designed in the Art Deco style.
Pink Floyd performed at Radio City Music Hall on March 17, 1973. New wave band “Devo” played at the venue on October 31, 1981, during their new Traditionalists Tour. Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga performed on June 19-23 during their Cheek to Cheek Tour. Mariah Carey performed a sold-out show as a part of her Caution World Tour on March 25, 2019. The theater is also used for televised shows like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!. The Radio City Music Hall was the site of the NFL draft between 2006 and 2014. The first sports event that took place at the venue was a boxing fight between Roy Jones Jr. and David Telesco that was held on January 15, 2000. Every year one of the most popular shows worldwide is the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
