Chris Stapleton
The St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater is an outdoor concert venue located at Restoration Way, Syracuse, New York. You can find the venue on the shores of Onondaga Lake in the Town of Geddes. The venue is owned by Onondaga Lake and operated by SMG along with Live Nation. It was inaugurated on September 3, 2015, with a construction cost of $49.3 million. The architecture of the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater was designed by QPK Design and Westlake Reed Leskosky. This venue has a seating capacity of around 17,500. It was formerly known as Lakeview Amphitheater and later on, was renamed to the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater in the year 2018 (when St. Joseph’s Hospital purchased the naming rights).
St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater replaced the Mohegan Sun Grandstand and became the main stage for concerts during the fair season. The first-ever concert held at the Amphitheater was by Miranda Lambert, a country singer. In 2016, Ringo Starr and his All-Star Band performed on June 3rd, which ended to be a successful performance. The same year, Dave Matthews Band performed a concert on June 22nd. Zac Brown, Bob Dylan, Third Eye Blind, Lady Antebellum, Kidz Bop, Incubus, and Krockathon, along with few other bands, performed concerts at the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater in the year 2017.
