The Xfinity Center is an outdoor amphitheater that is located at 885 S. Main St. Mansfield, Massachusetts. The Xfinity Center is nestled in between Providence, Rhode Island, and Boston, Mass which gives it a great regional pull of New Englanders. It opened on June 13, 1986, with the former name of the Great Woods Center for the Performing Arts. It has a seating capacity of 19,900, which is distributed as 7,000 reserved seats, 7,000 lawn seats, and 5,900 general admission seats. It is owned and operated by Live Nation New England. Since its opening, it has been renovated and expanded to meet modern-day expectations.
Xfinity Center hosts concerts, festivals, family and kid shows, live music, contemporary, orchestra, and much more. Well-known artists who played here include Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers Band, Avenged Sevenfold, Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band, Depeche Mode, The Eagles, Flyleaf, The Fray, Gin Blossoms, Korn, Spice Girls, Nickelback, Pearl Jam, Phish, Rush, The Smiths, Stone Sour - Family Values, James Taylor, The Who and many more.
