Clemson Memorial Stadium, also known as Death Valley, is an outdoor sports stadium located at Avenue of Champions, Clemson, South Carolina. It has a seating capacity of around 81,500 people. It opened to the public on September 19, 1942, with a construction cost of $125,000. The stadium is owned and operated by Clemson University. Carl Lee and Professor H. E. Glenn designed the architecture of the stadium. It has undergone many expansions, and modifications with the latest renovation started in the year 2014 and completed in 2006. It is one of the best places to experience the spectacle and energy of college football. The stadium serves home to the Clemson Tigers (NCAA). It also hosted the National Football League Carolina Panthers before the completion of Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
