Rose Bowl Stadium is an American outdoor athletic stadium, and it is located at 1001 Rose Bowl Dr, Pasadena, California. It serves home to one of America's most famous annual college football games. It is the 10th largest NCAA stadium, 11th largest stadium in the United States, and 15th largest stadium in the world. It was inaugurated on 28th October 1922, with a construction cost of $272,198 million. It has a seating capacity of 92,542 people at a time. The venue is owned by the City of Pasadena and operated by the Rose Bowl Operating Company. Myron Hunt designed the architecture of the stadium in 1921. It underwent renovations in 1962 with a renovation cost of around $356,000.
Junior Rose Bowl was hosted in the stadium from 1946 to 1971 and 1976 to 1977. Army-Navy Game 1983, FIFA Women's World Cup Final 1994 and 1999, along with Olympic Gold Medal Match 1984 was also hosted in the stadium. The venue held its first music festival performed by Richard Flanzer in June 1981. The stadium has hosted the Pasadena America fest Independence Day celebration since 1927 annually. Rose Bowl Flea Market is another local event held at the stadium.
