The Forum is located at 3900 W. Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, California, USA. It is a multi-purpose indoor arena with a seating capacity of 17,500 where 8000 are for Half-bowl. The seating type is reserved. The venue is under the ownership of The Madison Square Garden Company while it is operated by MSG Entertainment.
The arena was inaugurated on December 30, 1967, with a construction cost of $16 million. It underwent renovations in the year 1988, 2012–2014 with a cost of $76.5 million in 2014. The architect of the place is designed by Charles Luckman Associates whereas the renovation designing was carried out by Brisbin Brook Beynon. It became a landmark in greater Los Angeles due to the Laker's success. The arena is sometimes known as the "L. A. Forum" and the "Los Angeles Forum."
The LA Forum was once known as one of the best indoor arenas in the USA when it was formerly home to the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League along with few others. It hosts various events, including sports, concerts, Olympics, boxing, political events, etc.
The arena hosted various notable events such as Diana television (concert portion), Miracle on Manchester, 1984 Summer Olympics, Amnesty International, WBO international welterweight championship, 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas, etc. It also hosted some famous concerts by The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Jackson 5, and many others.
