Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium which is located at 1 AMB Drive NW, Atlanta, Georgia. The stadium has a seating capacity of 71,000 for American Football which is expandable to 75,000, and for Soccer it is 42,500 which is expandable to 71,000. The venue was opened to the general public on August 26, 2017, with a construction cost of US$1.6 billion.
The architecture of the stadium is designed by tvsdesign, HOK, Stanley Beaman & Sears, and Goode Van Slyke. The stadium is currently home to the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL) and Atlanta United FC of Major League Soccer (MLS) along with Peach Bowl, Celebration Bowl, and Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. The stadium is considered one of the five stadiums that has a retractable roof in the NFL. It is under the ownership of the state government of Georgia through the Georgia World Congress Center Authority while operated by AMB Group. It is expecting to undergo some significant renovations shortly.
