TD Garden - Boston, MA
TD Garden is often called The Garden and was formerly known as the FleetCenter and TD Banknorth Garden. It is located at 100 Legends Way, Boston, Massachusetts, New England. It is a multi-purpose arena with a seating capacity of nearly 20,000 people. TD Garden arena is perfect for hosting concerts, sports, wrestling events, mixed martial arts, films, Disney on Ice, the circus, graduations, seminars, and conventions. This venue is named after the subsidiary of Canada's Toronto-Dominion Bank, TD Bank, which is a sponsor to it. The garden is under the ownership of Delaware North Corporation and operated by Delaware North.
It was inaugurated on September 30, 1995, with a construction cost of US$160 million. The site got renovated in the years 2006, 2009, 2014 and currently serves home to Boston Celtics (NBA) and Boston Bruins (NHL). The arena is ranked number 3 in the country for 2006. It also received an EPA award.
The arena hosts the annual Hockey East Championships, 1999 and 2003 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball regional first and second rounds, 2014 United States Figure Skating Championships, NA LCS 2017 Summer Split Finals, etc. The venue also hosted the Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions on November 13, 2016.
The TD Garden hosted UFC on Fox Sports 1: 1, UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Siver, UFC 220, and various other mixed martial arts events were held in this arena. It has also been mentioned in movies like Knight and Day (2010), Zookeeper (2011), Ted (2012), and a few more. Tim Allen, Denis Leary, Chris Rock, and Louis C.K., among many other comedians, performed here.
