Warner Theatre is a performing arts venue located at 811 State Street, Erie, Pennsylvania. The Warner Theatre has a seating capacity of around 2,250 people. It first opened to the general public on April 10, 1931, showing the film "Millionaire." Rapp and Rapp designed its beautiful architecture based on Art Deco and French Renaissance. Currently, the venue is under the ownership of the Erie County Convention Center Authority. Warner Theatre serves home to the Erie Philharmonic and Lake Erie Ballet. It is equipped with three manual 17 rank Wurlitzer pipe organ. The theatre was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
Warner Theatre was used as a movie theatre until 1976. Currently, the venue hosts concerts, Broadway theatre performances, live stage shows, community meetings, and many various other entertainment events. Erie Philharmonic Holiday Pops, The Nutcracker, Zarathustra Speaks, All That Jazz with the Brubeck Brothers Quartet, Classically Mystery Tour, Beethoven's Triple, Colour My World, Star Wars and Beyond, Viva Italia, Simply Sinatra, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, , Phantoms in Concert, A Night on Broadway, Emanuel in Concert, Rhapsody, and the Wicked Divas are some of the top-notable events that were hosted at the Warner Theatre.
