The Show Me Center is a multi-purpose arena located at 1333 North Sprigg Street, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The center was opened to the general public in July 1987. It has a seating capacity of around 7,373 people at a time. The arena is owned and operated by Southeast Missouri State University. Hastings+Chivetta designed the architecture of the building. In 2015, the venue went through an upgrade which cost it around $5.62 million.
The arena hosts hundreds of events and shows every year. The venue is currently the home venue to the NCAA Division I Southeast Missouri State University Redhawks Basketball teams. The arena has also hosted the NCAA Women’s Division II Basketball Championship. The venue has also televised professional Wrestling events in the past. WWF hosted a show at this arena in April 1988, and WCW in January 2000.
