New Hampshire Fisher Cats at Hartford Yard Goats
Dunkin' Donuts Park is a baseball park located in Hartford, Connecticut. The stadium serves as the home field of the Hartford Yard Goats of the Eastern League. It has a seating capacity of 6,121, and a record attendance of 6,850 was recorded on April 13, 2017. The stadium is owned by the City of Hartford, while Hartford Stadium Authority operates it. Dunkin' Donuts Park opened for the public on April 11, 2017, although its construction began on February 17, 2015. The venue is designed by Pendulum Studio, The S/L/A/M Collaborative, and Newman Architects.
Dunkin' Donuts gained the naming rights for an undisclosed amount. It is part of a larger $400-million redevelopment plan known as Downtown North (DoNo). The stadium was voted as Ballpark Digest's best minor league ballpark among the other Double-A facilities (2017-2018). The first game by UConn baseball was played at Dunkin' Donuts Park on May 18, 2017. The Hartford Hawks and UConn Baseball occupied the venue in 2018 for four home games where the latter team appeared five times. Cape Cod Baseball League also played their first game in 2018 at the stadium.
Before its opening, the Dunkin' Donuts Park faced various delays. The primary issue reported was that the project was $10 million over budget. There were additional delays during the winter and spring of 2016, with the city even terminated its contract with the developer Centerplan on June 16, 2016.
