The FTX Arena, previously named American Airlines Arena is located at 601 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, Florida. This sports and entertainment arena is under the ownership of Miami-Dade County. It was constructed at the beginning of February 1998 and opened on December 31st, 1999 replacing the Miami arena. The architecture firms that played their part in designing were Arquitectonica and 360 Architecture.
The FTX Arena is home to the Miami heat (National Basketball Association).
This Arena has 80 luxury suites, 2,105 club seats, and 76 private boxes. Florida's largest theater, the Waterfront Theater, is located within the boundary of the Arena. The theater has a seating arrangement of between 3,000 to 5,800. The American Airlines Arena travel center at the venue is maintained by Miami international Airport; American airlines. The airline also holds the naming rights. The FTX Arena also includes luxury skyboxes called "Flagship Lounges." They are a trademark that is initially used for American's premium-class lounges at certain airports.
The Arena is popularly known for an unusual scoreboard designing underwater by Artist Christopher Janney. The capacity for concerts is as follows; end-stage capacity 12,202 for 180° shows, 15,402 for 270° shows, 18,309 for 360° shows, and the center stage concerts the arena capacity is 19,146.
The Box Office Hours for the ticket are Monday- Friday (10:00 AM to 4 PM). Other information can be taken from the Arena Box Office. The Arena features 939 parking spaces during Heat Games while the on-site Parking is reserved for Premium seats and the Dewar's 12 Clubhouse ticket holders.
