The Nationals Park is a baseball park that is located at 1500 South Capitol Street SE, Washington, DC. The baseball park opened to the general public on March 22, 2008, with a construction cost of $693 million. The venue has a seating capacity of 41,339. HOK Sport designed the architecture of the National Park along with Devrouax and Pernell Architects and Planners. The National Park is under the ownership of the Events DC, and Washington Nationals Baseball Club LLC operates it. The baseball park serves as the home ballpark to the city’s Major League Baseball franchise, the Washington Nationals.
The Nationals Park has hosted the 2018 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, which was the first All-Star Game to be played in Washington DC since 1969. Nationals Park has also hosted several non-baseball events such as business meetings, hockey games, and concerts. Some of the notable performances by famous bands and musicians held at the venue include Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Elton John, Jason Aldean, One Direction, Dave Matthews Band, Zac Brown Band, Bruce Springsteen, and the E Street Band. The National Hockey League held it's New Year’s Traditional outdoor game, the Winter’s Classic, on January 1, 2015, at the Nationals Park.
Tickets for the upcoming National Park events can be purchased from its box office from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm. Tickets can also be purchased online from TicketsOnSale.com if you are looking for some discounts.
