Lucas Oil Stadium is located at 500 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. The stadium was opened to the general public on August 16, 2008. It is under the ownership of Indiana Stadium and Convention Building Authority and is operated by Capital Improvement Board of Managers of Marion County, Indiana. It is currently home to United Soccer League's Indy Eleven.
The designing job of the venue is carried out by Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf, Inc, HKS Inc., and A2so4 Architecture. The unique feature of the stadium is the retractable roof and windows. The roof can open or close in 9 to 11 minutes. The venue host a variety of events based on entertainment and sports, including soccer, football, concerts, etc.
Annual events held at the stadium include Big Ten Football Championship Game, Monster Energy Supercross, NFL Draft Combine, etc. Some future events to be held at this place are North American Youth Congress 2021, NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four (April 2021, April 2026), along with three more. The first soccer game to be hosted at the venue was on August 1, 2013.
