Majestic Theatre Detroit - Detroit, MI
Majestic Theatre is a music venue located at Woodward Avenue, Detroit, Michigan. It opened to the public on April 1, 1915. The theater has a seating capacity of approximately 1,100 people. C. Howard Crane designed the architecture of the building in an Italian style, later renovated by Bennett & Straight in full metal panel Art Deco facade. The theatre was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. The theatre also includes a bowling alley, The Magic Stick, and the Majestic Cafe.
The theater serves a place for fundraising shows, weddings, private parties, fashion shows, musical events of indie rock, metal, punk, blues, jazz, folk, hip hop, concerts, family and comedy shows, etc. Some popular events hosted by the theatre include GWAR, Sacred Reich/ Toxic Holocaust /Against the Grain, Two Doors Cinema Club, Girls Gotta Eat, Dark Star Orchestra, MunicipalWaste & Napalm Death, and many more.
