The AT&T Center is a multi-purpose arena located at 1 AT&T Center Parkway, San Antonio, United States. The place was opened on October 18, 2002, named SBC center. It was finally renamed to AT&T CENTER in January 2006. The arena has different seating capacities; Basketball (18,418), Ice Hockey (16,141), Concert (19,000), 2,018 seats for Club, 50 luxury suites, and 32 bathrooms. The operations of the arena are held by the Spurs Sports and Entertainment whereas, it is owned by Bexar County.
The arena was home to the San Antonio Stars of the Women’s National Basketball Association (2003-2017). Currently, it is home to San Antonio Rampage and San Antonio Spurs. The arena was primarily designed for basketball but now hosts various sports events.
On December 9, 2014, the arena underwent renovation which initiated in the summer of 2015. The renovation included a wide range of Wi-Fi facility (covering almost 90% of the arena), new scoreboards, and televisions under the budget of $101.5 million, passed by the Bexar County Commissioners Court.
The Center hosts the autocross competitions each month in the parking lot which is organized by the San Antonio Sports Car Association. It also hosted many WWE events while Black Sabbath played their last show at this venue on November 12, 2016 (which was their last show in the United States).
