The Angel Stadium of Anaheim, formally known as, “Anaheim Stadium” and “Edison International Field of Anaheim” is located at 2000 Gene Autry Way, Anaheim, California. The stadium is operated by the Angels Baseball LP and owned by the City of Anaheim. It opened its doors for the first time on April 19, 1966, and got the 1st renovation done on April 1, 1998. It has got several improvements done so far, and the capacity changed after every renovation. It has a seating capacity of around 45,517 currently. It is home to Los Angeles Angels of MLB and the Los Angeles Ram of NFL (1980-1994). The Angel Stadium is also known by its unofficial nickname, “The Big A.”
Some of the notable events this venue has hosted are the 1967 baseball MLB All-Star Game, American League Division Series, 2002 World Series, etc. Also, this stadium hosted five group stage matches of soccer in 1996, popular as CONCACAF Gold Cup. IT also has hosted some famous concerts including The Who, Pink Floyd, Jackson Brown, etc. Angel Stadium has also been a major site for the shooting of various Motion pictures.
Some of the historical achievements on Angel Stadium were 500th career run for Reggie Jackson, 3000th career base hits for Rod Carew and 300th career win for Don Sutton.
