The stadium's official grand opening show was the Opening of SkyDome; a celebration that had a crowd of 50,000 people accompanied by the appearances by Alan Thicke, Oscar Peterson, and Andrea Martin. The venue has a seating capacity of 49,282 for baseball, 53,6506 for football, 47,568 for Soccer, and 10,000-55,000 for Concerts. It is owned by Rogers Communications. Rod Robbie designed the architecture of this masterpiece. The venue underwent several renovations and expansions.
