The Tacoma Dome is located at 2727 East D Street, Tacoma, Washington, USA. The site is a multi-purpose arena which is adjacent to Interstate 5. The capacity of the venue is 5,000 – 23,000, which is distributed as follows; 20,824 – Indoor soccer, 20,722 – Basketball, 19,106 – Hockey, and 10,000 – American football. The arena was opened to the public on April 21, 1983, bearing a construction cost of $44 million. It is under the ownership as well as operated by the City of Tacoma. The arena underwent a major renovation in the year 2018. The architectural work for the Tacoma Dome was done by the international design winning architects, McGranahan and Messenger Associates. It is said to be the largest arena in the world by the volume along with a wooden dome.

This place is also famous for its controversial neon art. It is currently home to WIAA boys' state basketball tournament and the WIAA state football tournament. The first event hosted by this dome was British musician David Bowie's concert which was part of his Serious Moonlight Tour (August 11, 1983). The Tacoma Dome has also hosted events like Tacoma Rockets (WHL), Goodwill Games (gymnastics and figure skating events), NCAA Division I-AA football championship game, Built Ford Tough Series bull-riding, Monster Jam, WWE's Stomping Grounds, etc. Some popular concerts held at the Tacoma Dome were performed by Billy Graham, Bryan Adams, The Backstreet Boys, The Black Eyed Peas, and hundreds more.
