The PNC Arena is formerly known as the RBC Center and originally as Raleigh Entertainment & Sports Arena. It is an indoor arena located at 1400 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. The place was opened on October 29, 1999. Currently, it has a seating capacity of 19,722+ for Basketball, 18,680+ for Ice Hockey, and 19,500+ for other sports events which may vary from setup. The place is owned by the Centennial Authority and operated by Gale Force Sports and Entertainment. Odell Associates, Inc designed the architecture of the venue. The arena is the home rink for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League.
This place has also hosted the Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League from 2000-2002. It is the eighth-largest arena in NCAA. PNC Arena has hosted the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) men’s basketball tournament from the year 1999-2008. It hosted the Jeopardy College Championship when known as the RBC Center. The arena is honored with the performances of Taylor Swift, Prince, Billy Joel, Lady Gaga, One Direction, Journey, Justin Timberlake, Big Time Rush, and many other popular artists.
