Roseland Theatre is a music venue which is located at 8 Northwest 6th Ave, Portland, Oregon. It was inaugurated in 1982 with a seating capacity of 1,400. The concert hall was formerly owned by Larry Hurwitz (1982 - 1991), Oregon Theatre Management (1991- 1996) while currently, it is under the owned and operated by Double Tee. The theatre underwent renovations in 1972 with a renovation cost of around $ 1.75- $2 million. The site features arena level production, a large stage, and superb sightlines along with acoustics.
The theatre hosts multi-generational concerts every night by large national icons to small local bands. It is a famous venue for comedy, hip hop, dance, touring rock acts, and rap artists. Well-known performers including Dan Reed, Ray Charles, Miles Davis, Bob Dylan, The Pixies, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bonnie Raitt have graced the Roseland stage. The theatre has been a site of live recordings by Little Feat. Phish performed in the theatre four times during the 1990s. The venue hosted Prince, Metric, Cut Copy, and Snoop Dogg in 2010. Sabaton is a Swedish rock band that will be performing at the theatre on 14th October 2019.
