The Dunkin Donuts Center, which was initially known as the Providence Civic Center, is located at101 Sabin Street, Providence, Rhode Island, United States. The arena was opened on November 3, 1972. It is an indoor arena which has a seating capacity of around 11,000 (Concerts), 14,300 (Basketball), and 14,000 (Ice Hockey). The arena is owned by the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority and operated by SMG. The architect of the arena was designed by Ellerbe Associates.

Providence Red played their first-ever hockey game at the Dunkin Donuts Center during the opening ceremony of the arena. Half of the Grateful Dead was recorded live at this venue on June 26, 1974, which was entitled as Dick’s Picks Volume 12.
