Humphreys by the Bay is an outdoor music theatre located at 2241, Shelter Island Driveway, San Diego, California. The Humphreys by the Bay theatre was opened in 1982 with a seating capacity of around 1,400 - 1,450 people at a time. The theatre is owned by Richard Bartell. The arena hosted hundreds of music performances since it opened. It has hosted some popular performers like Willie Nelson, Ray Charles, Miles Davis, B.B. King to Stevie Wonder and Roy Orbison. They are the performers who played 37 concerts at the venue by 2006. Some big names who have also performed at the amphitheater are Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan, and Ringo Starr.

Due to its picturesque location, the venue is the favorite stop for the fans in the summer season. The theater operates from April to October, and it almost hosts every kind of show including comedy, concerts, showcase rock, jazz, blues, folk, and so many other events.
