PETCO Park - San Diego CA
San Diego Rodeo
Petco Park is a baseball park. It is located at Tony Gwynn Drive, San Diego, California. Petco Park is named after the pet supplies retailer Petco, which is based in San Diego. Petco Park was declared as the number one ballpark built in America by the USA government in 2016. It differentiates itself from the other parks that were built in the same era by eschewing retro-styled red bricks and green seats. Petro Park was opened to the public on April 8, 2004. It has a seating capacity of 42,445 people at a time. Antoine Predock designed the architecture of the park. The Petco Park is owned by the City Of San Diego and is operated by Padres LP.
There are various sports held at the ballpark, including rugby, football, tennis, motorsports, golf, and basketball in Petco Park. Some famous concerts that were hosted in the park are performed by The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Aerosmith, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, and Billy Joel. The singing reality television program, American Idol’s season 11 auditions were also hosted by the venue. The filming of ‘Chairman’s Challenge’ by the Food Network was also done in Petro Park.
