The Golden 1 Center is an indoor arena which is located at 500 David J. Stern Walk, Sacramento, California, USA. This faculty is part of a business and entertainment district that is called Downtown Commons (DoCo). The venue has a seating capacity of 17,608 for basketball and 19,000 for concerts along with 34 luxury suites and 48 loft-style suites. Golden 1 Center is under the ownership of the City of Sacramento while operated by Sacramento Kings LP, LLC. The arena opened its door to the general public on September 30, 2016, with a construction cost of $558.2 million.
The faculty serves home to the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association and the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) High School Basketball State Championships since 2017. The venue hosts various events, including conventions, concerts, sports, and entertainment events. The architecture of the venue was designed by Mark Dziewulski Architect and AECOM.
The arena reflects the fabric of Northern California by utilizing regionally sourced materials ranging from glass, recycled aluminum, potentially precast concrete, to rocks of Sierra limestone reflecting the regional colors. The venue has hosted some notable events including the first event ever held; WWE No Mercy, annual Built Ford Tough Series, 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament (1st and 2nd rounds), etc.
