The Denny Sanford Premier Center is an indoor arena located at 1201 N West Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States. The place was opened to the general public on September 19, 2014. The naming-rights partners and sponsors of the arena are “Sanford Health, First Premier Bank” and “Premier Bankcard.” The venue is owned by the City of Sioux Falls and operated by the SMG. The seating capacity of this place is 13,000 (Concerts), 12,000 (Basketball), and 10,678 (Hockey). The center is honored as the largest indoor arena in South Dakota.
The design of the arena was done by the Sink Combs Dethlefs with the brainstorming of Koch Hazard. The first concert at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center was held on September 24, 2014, which featured Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. The place hosts The Summit League Men’s Basketball Tournament and The Summit League Women’s Basketball Tournament in March every year. The venue is the home to the Sioux Fall Stampede of the United States Hockey League and Sioux Falls Storm of the Indoor Football League. On September 11, 2018, the Rock Group Metallica set the record attendance where more than 12,000 attendees were present at a time.
