The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum is a multi-purpose arena located at 400 Parnell Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States. It was opened on September 28, 1952. The arena has a huge seating capacity of 13,000 people. Its seating was initially designed for the Basketball and Hockey where Basketball has a seating of 10,240 people, and Hockey has a seating of 8,103 people. In 1989, the Coliseum got a separate space named, Exposition Centre, which hosts trade shows and different events. The Exposition Centre itself has a seating capacity of 7,500 people at a time. The arena is owned and operated by the “Allen County.”
The architect of the arena was designed by A. M. Strauss whereas Hagerman Construction Corp. who was hired as a General Contractor. The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum is a home venue to Fort Wayne Komets of the ECL ice hockey league and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA G League. The arena has hosted the Basketball NBA finals in both 1955 and 1956along with NBA D-League finals in 2014 and 2015. In 2010, the University of Notre Dame hosted the Ice Hockey Tournament Midwest Regional at the Coliseum.
