Foo Fighters Information
The Foo Fighters were founded in the cradle of grunge bands after the untimely breakup of the Curt Cobain led Nirvana in 1994. Dave Grohl branched out and kept moving after the demise of Nirvana. Seattle, Washington was pumping out bands like Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Alice in Chains, and many more. So it seemed like a natural move for Grohl who was seeking to further his musical career. He immediately reached out to Chris Novacelic the bassist from Nirvana but Chris declined so GRohl moved on to other options.
Once the Foo Fighters were formed they hit the ground running with William Goldsmith, Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, Nate Mendel as the four origional memebers. Sticking with the same grunge/rock style the Foo Fighters made quick work of developing enough of a music catalog to hit the road and tour. Later teh Foo Fighters added Chris Shiflett, Taylor Hawkins, Franz Stahl, Josh Freese, and Rami Jaffee.
Foo Fighters have prodcued many hits during thier time and they are most known for Everlong, Aurora, The Pretender, Walk, I'll Stick Around, The Feast and the Famine, All My Life, Learn to Fly, Making a Fire, Run, and of course Monkey Wrench. With all of teh Foo Fighters hits you should be sure and see them live at least once. Dave Grohl who spent a good part of his youth in Washington, DC plays special concerts at general admission venues occasionally.
