About Lovejoy

Lovejoy is an English indie rock band. The current lineup comprises William Gold, Joe Goldsmith, Ash Kabosu, and Mark Boardman. William Gold and Joe Goldsmith created Lovejoy in 2021. The two became acquainted while performing in a folk band together. 20:07 Gold has a large internet fanbase thanks to his prior Twitch broadcasts, YouTube videos, and solo songs. Formerly known as "Hang the DJ," the band has now changed its name. They recorded their second EP, Pebble Brain, at Brighton's Small Pond Recording Studios in August 2021 and released it on 14 October. As an EP, it reached position 12 on the UK Albums Chart. This EP's tracks were largely about broken romances, but they also touched on social and political turmoil themes. The first vinyl pressing of the band's first two EPs and their cover of "Knee Deep at ATP" was in October 2022. Released on 10 February 2023, "Call Me What You Like" by Lovejoy peaked at 32 on the Official UK Top 40. Later, on 12 May 2023, the band issued their third extended play, Wake Up & It's Over, which included the song and debuted at number five on the UK album charts. The EP's "Portrait of a Blank Slate" is also included in the game's official soundtrack.
