My Chemical Romance Information

My Chemical Romance (also known as My Chem and MCR) is an American rock band based in Newark, New Jersey. It consists of lead vocalist Gerard Way, guitarist Frank Lero and Ray Toro, and bassist Mikey Way.

In 2002, the band released their debut album “I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love,” after signing to the label Eyeball Records. The very next year, My Chem signed with another label, “Reprise Records” and released their influential album in 2004 called “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.” After the release of this album, Bob Bryar (drummer) replaced Matt Pelissier, an original member. The album was a successful one, and over a year later, it was certified with platinum status.

In 2006, after the massive success of My Chem’s last album, the band released their concept album called “The Black Parade.” The album was certified double platinum, both in the United Kingdom and the United States. “The Black Parade” is the only double-platinum album by the band thus far. Shortly after the release of this album, Bob Bryar (drummer) departed from the group in March 2010. In the same year, the band released their fourth album “Danger Days: The Trues Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.”

My Chem has released plenty of singles, among which include “Vampires Will Never Hurt You,” “Honey. This Mirror Isn’t Big Enough for the Two of Us”, “Welcome to the Black Parade,” “Thank You for the Venom,” “The Kids From Yesterday,” and numerous others. The band has also released a few extended plays, including “Live and Rare,” “Warped Tour Bootleg Series,” “The Black Parade: The B-Sides,” and “The Mad Gear and Missile Kid.”
