About Reba McEntire

Reba Nell McEntire (March 28, 1955) is an American songwriter, country singer, actress, and record producer. Her father was one of the World Champion steer ropers and she learned guitar on her own. She created a vocal group along with her brother and sister and named it "Singing McEntire's." They used to sing songs at the rodeos. Today, she is often given the title “Queen of Country” along with being one of the best-selling artists of all time. McEntire recorded her very first song named "The Ballad of John McEntire" released on the indie label Boss. She was also selected to perform at the National Rodeo in Oklahoma City, where she played the national anthem. Her very first recording was made on January 22, 1976, for Mercury as her debut single. "(There's Nothing Like The Love) Between a Woman and Man" was the second single by McEntire. Some of the other singles and studio albums include; “Glad I Waited Just for You," "That Makes Two of Us," "Out of a Dream," "Sweet Dreams," "You Lift Me Up (To Heaven)," "Feel the Fire," and "Heart to Heart." After signing with MCA Nashville Records and leaving Mercury, she released My Kind of Country (1984) with two of the no. 1 singles named "Somebody Should Leave" and "How Blue." In total, Reba McEntire has released 29 studio albums containing 42 singles marked as no. 1, 28 gold-certified albums, along with 16 no. 1 records. McEntire was also featured in the film Tremors with Annie Get Your Gun (2001) and starred in a TV sitcom named Reba (2001–07). For this sitcom, she was nominated for the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy) and won a Golden Globe Award.

Essential Event-Day Checklist

Before You Leave

  • Digital Tickets: Download tickets to your phone's wallet now. Venue Wi-Fi is notoriously unreliable.
  • ID Check: Bring a valid photo ID; many venues require it for entry or "Will Call" pickup.
  • Bag Policy: Most venues enforce clear bag policies or limits (typically A4 size or smaller). Check the specific venue site to avoid being turned away.
  • Cash & Cards: While many venues are now cashless, bring some cash as a backup.

Pro-Tips

  • Power Up: Bring a portable power bank. Using your phone for video and ride-sharing will drain your battery fast.
  • Hearing Safety: Use high-fidelity earplugs to enjoy the event while protecting your hearing.
  • Hydration & Energy: Eat a full meal and stay hydrated beforehand.

Dress for Success

  • Footwear: Wear broken-in sneakers or boots. You could be standing for 3–5 hours; avoid new shoes.
  • Layer Up: Wear light layers (flannel or light jacket). Venues can range from chilly to very hot.
  • Style: Be yourself, but it always helps to have pockets or a small crossbody bag to keep essentials secure and hands-free.

Logistics & Safety

  • Arrive Early: Get there 60 minutes before doors to beat the merch and security lines.
  • Transport: Pre-book your ride share or scout parking garages in advance to avoid post-show surges.
  • Stay Safe: Identify your nearest exit upon arrival and designate a meeting spot for your group.
